Abstract
Supervisor conversations create an opportunity to set clear expectations, gather input, identify barriers, and provide feedback about safety. These conversations can increase psychological safety and promote safe practices in the workplace. Yet, most supervisors do not typically engage in frequent safety conversations with their team. In the presentation, I will discuss the value of safety conversations, outline key elements that should be included, and present two case studies describing interventions aimed at increasing safety conversations and improving safe practices at work.
