Abstract
This study examines the importance of the comprehensive methods and practical applications of active listening and emotional empathy in treating critical illness, a practice commonly known as narrative medicine and compassionate care. Focusing on the use of these methods as a crucial part of treating serious illness and disease and the crucial inclusion of these studies as part of the primary curriculum in medical college practicums, this research is aimed at creating awareness toward better understanding and support of these practices as part of routine medical care and treatment.
