Abstract
This study addresses sexual harassment among female journalists at 12 newspapers across the country. Included in the sample were 46 reporters, 14 copy editors, and 17 employed in other areas including section editors and photographers. They worked at newspapers ranging in circulation size from 6,000 to 250,000. In addition, this study attempted to replicate at least portions of the 1995 study "Outing sexual harassment of female journalists" by Kim Walsh-Childers and others from the University of Florida. The purpose of replication is to test the truth in the original, be it survey research, an experiment, or another form of research. Because many of her findings were repeated in this study, this replication serves to further verify her study.
