Abstract
In 1995, a survey of small, terrestrial mammals in the Tennessee River Gorge was undertaken.These mammals were collected by using pitfall traps in three different sites of the gorge. A total of twenty-six specimens representing six species of mammals was collected. The majority of specimens collected were long-tailed shrews.Each specimen was deposited in the Natural History Museum at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
